Kendrick Meek Jr. is a 29-year-old Miami attorney, advocate, and public policy professional running for Florida's 24th Congressional District. He is the grandson of the late Congresswoman Carrie Meek and the son of former Congressman Kendrick Meek, carrying forward a family legacy of public service spanning decades of advocacy for economic justice, educational opportunity, and voting rights in South Florida. He has worked as a House Judiciary Committee intern, a legal assistant with the Human Rights Campaign, and at the federal Office of Management and Budget, and now practices land use, zoning, and real estate development law as an associate at LSN Law.
